CCS/UIC Professional - Junior Level Geologist/Engineer

Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a junior staff level professional to support UIC/CCS projects. The ideal candidate will join our firm and assist in providing clients across various industries with effective, responsive, and safe project solutions. We are actively involved in multiple CCS and UIC projects across the US. As a member of our team, you will support our diverse range of clients and industries, including Fortune 100 companies and the federal government as well as local communities.

We currently have an opening for a professional with a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science with 2-5 years of experience. Responsibilities will include: (1) providing evaluation, recommendations, and support for new and ongoing carbon sequestration and UIC project efforts; (2) managing background site and subsurface data research and review; (3) providing technical design and operational oversight support; (4) supporting data collection, validation, and evaluation efforts; and (5) conducting industry and regulatory research, client management and marketing support. This position will require a mix of field and office responsibilities including travel to project locations across the US. The balance between these two will be determined by the project stage.

Location

The location for this role is flexible based on qualifications of the candidate and ability to travel. (Preferred Locations - CO, TX, CA, WY, NE, OH).

Required Qualifications

Our team is looking for someone who has:

  • General knowledge of CCS/UIC permitting requirements and can competently speak to the different technical and regulatory elements needed

``` - Understanding of geologic concepts, with knowledge of and familiarity with subsurface fluid flow

  • Strong capabilities and interest in technical analyses, and ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems

  • Basic understanding of the technical design of either wells, pipelines, or surface facilities

  • Experience interfacing with large project teams and communicating assignment details/results

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members

  • Ability to cultivate long standing relationships with clients

  • Can simultaneously work on multiple projects

  • Ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as location, market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $60,000 - $85,000
